Back to Busch Gardens with Emma

Every time I write a post about theme parks, I feel like I'm working on their marketing team. I just really like them and now that Emma likes Elmo, there is no better place for us to go. Unfortunately, I don't think that we will be going there in a while. I broke my tibia at the gym last week. I'm using crutches and this will be the case for at least 2 to 3 months. I'm very upset about the whole situation. We were going to Colombia tomorrow for 10 days and we decided to cancel the trip. It could be possible to go but I know that the best is to take care of this injury.

The sunday before I got hurt, we went to Busch Gardens for less than 3 hours. It was enough time to catch the last Sesame Street show, ride the carrousel, look for Elmo and also see the birds at Lory Landing. Emma was very lucky because the park was almost empty and no kids were in line to meet Elmo. He played with her for a few minutes, she grabbed his nose and was not scared at all. She also had the chance to see Abby Cadabby and also grab her nose.

Safari of Fun Days with Elmo and Emma

I have posted a few pictures of previews visits to Busch Gardens before. I'm a big fan of having at least one annual pass for theme parks in Florida. We currently have the Busch Gardens and Sea World Pass. Emma's first trip to Busch Gardens was last month. She has been there twice since then. This time, we explored a new area of the park: the kids zone!! I never spent too much time here since my nephew was "too old" for Sesame Street when it opened a few years ago and my other nephew lives in California. Now that I care about activities with kids, our annual pass is great! We have more friends that also have the pass and they have kids that are about Emma's age. I was surprised to see how much Emma enjoyed the live show. We show her videos of Elmo a few times, but it was the sweetest thing to see her clapping and smiling to the Sesame Street characters sing and dance. I wish the show was a bit longer. They only sing 3 songs and then they go to the picture areas. We ended up buying 2 picture frames with the (overpriced but totally worth) pictures of her first day at Busch Gardens. Most of the attractions are for toddlers so I know that we will keep going back many weekends.

Busch Gardens Again!

Last weekend, I went to Busch Gardens (again) with my family. There was another famous salsa singer, Jerry Rivera, for the Viva La Musica Festival. This was the last weekend of spanish music in Busch Gardens and Sea World.  I have been to Busch Gardens countless times, and one day is not enough to see everything in the park. I have the yearly pass for Busch Gardens and Sea World, so I will be visiting these theme parks often.

After the concert and the extreme heat we headed to the Sesame Street area of the park to make my 2 year old nephew happy. We found the watering hole and it was perfect for him. I wish that I could go in there as well. He was having a great time playing in the water. We almost couldn't get him out of there.

Sheikra is one of my favorite roller coasters in Florida. The 90 degree fall is scary and exciting. From the first row you get a few seconds of preview when it stops before the fall. This is probably the scariest moment in the whole ride. I am afraid of heights, but I love roller coasters. There is always a LONG line to ride Sheikra and most of my family is afraid of riding it. Lines are boring and making them alone is even worse. Maybe Andre will join me next time. He has been working on weekends and he has not come to Busch Gardens with me.

We decided to go in the Serengeti Railway to see the park from a comfortable place. There are several stations around the park where you can get on/off. We stayed for about half of the ride and decided to get off just in time before my nephew got bored. You can see the largest area of the park, the serengueti plain, from the air or from the train. The animals are running "free" in that area. Depending on the day you can see them very close.

We wanted to see the Bengal tigers and Orangutans in the Jungala area. As soon as we walked into the area, the tiger below, was going crazy. He was not happy to have spectators and was jumping against the window very angry. I should have done a video.

After taking a few pictures we kept walking. We found the Stanley Falls. I was surprised when my brother in law said that he wanted to ride it. My sister followed and I was waiting right at the fall to take their pictures.

Busch Gardens is a great theme park for everyone. I'm lucky to live only 15 minutes away from it. If you want to see more pictures click here

A Day in Busch Gardens

Last weekend I went to Busch Gardens with my family. There was a famous salsa singer, Victor Manuelle, for the Viva La Musica Festival. I have been to Busch Gardens countless times. They have a great Florida resident pass where you can pay for one day and return the whole year. In my opinion, the roller coasters are probably better than the ones in the Orlando theme parks. Busch Gardens Tampa has an African theme with several roller coasters in between the large zoo areas. This was my first visit to the park after 3 years. A lot has changed including Cheetah Hunt, a new roller coaster. Also there is a new Sesame Street section for the kids and a Kangaroo and wallaby petting area.

I just got back from Sea World today. It was my first visit to that park. I will upload pictures on another post. Have you ever been to Busch Gardens or Sea World?
