The Wedding Day - After the Ceremony

Right after we walked out of the chapel we started hugging our friends and family.

After saying hello to most of the guests, we went to the back of the house to take a few pictures while the cocktail was held in the main patio. For the cocktail, we had typical Colombian food in bite size portions and Lulada. Lulada is a drink made of chunks of lulo, a fruit from South America, that sometimes is called naranjilla. It is served with ice and you need a spoon to drink/eat it. It is one of the things I crave all the time and I can't have. It tastes even better with vodka.

When I booked the place I made a HUGE mistake. I assumed that if it was called Hacienda, it meant that it was a big place. I had been to a friend's wedding here before and I loved it, but it was at night. When I found out that the Hacienda was just a nursery, it was in December and we had paid all the deposits. I like the pictures that we took, but I had something else in my mind. I imagined a big green background like the ones that we took the day before. However, I am very happy that we picked this place for our wedding. The house for the reception is beautiful and they have a small chapel that we used for the ceremony. It was the perfect place because they have an event planner and they took care of the catering, the florist, the waiters, the tables, the chairs. Also, they didn't have a corkage fee and this is always a big expense.

When we came back to the main patio, we took the classic pictures with the families and friends. After that it was time to eat dinner and start dancing.
