Touring the Daytona International Speedway

Last June as part of a conference that I attended in Daytona Beach, I went to the Daytona International Speedway. At first, I wasn't really excited to go since I'm not a race fan. The other option was to play golf, so I went to the tour. The speedway is almost a mini City, there is even a hospital inside.

The group was taken in a behind the scene tour for 90 minutes. We were taken to the Drivers Meeting Room, the Garages, the Victory Lane, and the Press Box located above the Speedway. Andre, my husband, was jealous that I went to the speedway. He loves to play Gran Turismo on PS3 and I felt like I've seen this place before. I promised to take him there someday. The tour is $22 and even if you are not a sports fan it's a nice experience.

The color seats are a trick for the camera to appear full when the 150,000 seats are sold out.

  1. I am not really a sports fan, but you have me convinced. I think I would totally love the experience.

    1. I felt the same way. It is an impressive construction and to think that it does get completely packed during the races!

    1. I'm sure!! Andre loves to play gran turismo on PS3 so I "know" this track from his game. He was really jealous that I had to go there for work.

    1. I'm not sure if I would like to stay for a whole race. I think they are all-day events. But it would def be something different to experience
